Our Lady of Fatima Fiesta 2013

On a rainy October 13th  (1917), the mystic Lady appeared for the sixth and last time to the children, Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia. More than 70.000 people gathered in Fatima that evening. The children were still the only one who can see her and she declared that she is the Holy Virgin Mary. She told the children three secrets and suddenly, the rain stops and the clouds drove away to reveal the sun. The sun begun to dance, turning around and drawing closer as if it is falling down as witnesses later confirm. The people thought that the world is going to end but the sun suddenly appeared normal once again as if nothing happened... taken from the Sixth and last apparition of Our Lady in Fatima

An empty carroza, because of the unabating rains it was decided not to hold a procession...a break from an annual panata which was started 10+ years ago...


4:00pm, the Fiesta Mass celebrated by our Parish Priest


...and at 5pm, recitation of the rosary (Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful and Glorious). By this time the rain stopped, I heard a few people saying, "we of little faith." Well it usually is the case in the past years, it would rain and when the procession starts it will stop. I am honestly surprised why we did not proceed...
