Belen 2011

Christmas 2011

Lord, may we be like the Wise Men who were guided to you by a star. Give us the wisdom to seek you, light to guide us to you, courage to search until we find you, graciousness to worship you and generosity to lay our gifts before you, who are our King and our God for ever and ever.
Amen.

For some Christmas is over but for us, it is actually just beginning, our christmas decorations will still be on display until the end of the season which per the Church's liturgical calendar, after the feast of the Presentation (Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria). Also, another reason why the decorations are not yet set aside is to maintain the festive mood until the Chinese New Year!

This year, although I was planning to assemble the Belen once again, I cannot...given that the new image of Fatima I have is much smaller (in scale) compared to St. Joseph...so same as last year, only Baby Jesus this year as well...

And the word was made flesh...

Jesus, the Light of the World

Jesus, the Light of the World, as we celebrate your birth may we begin to see the world in the light of the understanding you give us. As you chose the lowly, the outcasts, and the poor to receive the greatest news the world had ever known, so may we worship you in meekness of heart. May we also remember our brothers and sisters less fortunate than ourselves in this season of giving. Amen.
